Happy Halloween!

Carson as Obi Wan Kenobi

Kaden as Wolverine

Tanner as Jango Fett with his sidekick from school as R2D2
I grabbed some costumes from the tank in Vernal and decided to dress up this year.  I am the Wicked Queen from Snow White and my friend is the Old Witch from Snow White with the poison apple.  Both of these costumes are a blast from the past.  I wore them my Senior Year in the our High School Musical version of Snow White.  Thanks to Jill and Tarra for my fabulous make-up.
Here are all of my WITCHY friends from the ward Halloween party.
John and Gina cook who also decided to dress up an hour before the party borrowed Kaden's Jedi costume and my Princess Leia outfit.  What a cute couple.  Carson wanted to know if I could PLEASE be Princess Leia next year.  They are bigger fans of Star Wars than Snow White.
Carson is helping me do the blog right now and he wanted to make sure I posted him doing his Jedi moves.  "Cause I look so cool."
Tyler and his team at the office dressed up in 80's fashion.  It was so fun.  I will try to find a picture of all the girls.
Tanner always has several costumes laid out perfectly for quick costume changes.  The funny thing is that it is a year round thing for him not just Halloween.  He and Carson dress up daily.
Keaton borrowed some of our Indiana Jones props and clothes for Halloween.  Carson was thrilled to find Tyler's Indiana Jones hat (pictured above) that he got when he was Carson's age at Disneyland.  Of course he still has his original hat. They have EVERYTHING they ever played with since birth.  And yes, he and Grandma were a little nervous about letting Carson borrow the historic treasure :)  Don't ruin it, CRASH!

MANcation Mountain Biking Weekend in Moab

Check out the beautiful views on the mountain biking trails in Moab.
Below you will see the guys (I think 17 or more made it to the Mancation) taking the shuttle ride to the top of the mountain biking trail.  It was all fun and games until.........
Tyler broke his frame on his bike going down a ledge and they had to get creative with their McGuyver skills and try to hold his bike together with an old tire and rope so he could ride the last seven miles of the trail.
All in all, it was a fun time for the guys, but ended up being a VERY expensive weekend because he needs a new mountain bike.

Pumpkin Fun

Carson with some of his preschool friends on the Pumpkin Patch Field Trip.
Carson had loads of fun decorating his pumpkin with a Sharpie.
Hmmmm....So many pumpkins to choose from.  It took him forever to find the perfect one for him.
 Pumpkin Guts--yuck!
Gina and Jill in the kitchen getting ready for the Harvest FHE Party.  She made yummy soup served in a pumpkin and bone shaped breadsticks with Dry Ice Root Beer in a cauldron.  It was delicious.  We also carved pumpkins and chatted around the fire pit.  Families that attended: Cook's, Harmon's, Nelson's, Kohl's, Clifford's, Ross', Ross' and Vance's.

Halloween Decor!

So I decorated for Halloween over conference weekend.  The boys love it!  Britain and Deedee you should be so proud of all my Halloween decorating.   Here are a few pictures around the house.

The REAL candy corn was quickly replaced with wooden candy corn because every time I walked by I was shoving one in my mouth.  Seriously, where is my discipline?  I had to remove the temptation.

Fall Baseball

This is the first season Kaden and Tanner have played Fall baseball.  We usually only play baseball in the spring, but Tanner decided to do baseball again instead of soccer this fall.  Kaden played football during the spring so that put him playing baseball now.  They love baseball.  Grandpa Malnar would be so proud of them.  In fact, my dad inspired us to start building our own "Field of dreams."  Growing up my dad turned the lot next door to our house into a "Field of Dreams" for my little brother.  No, he was not spoiled.  Well, actually he WAS TOTALLY SPOILED and since he never reads my blog I feel comfortable professing that.  The field was complete with grass, bases, a pitching machine, backstop, and outfield nets on a pulley system so the balls wouldn't go into the outfield.

Anyway, after Kaden broke one of the pickets on the fence during pitching practice and Tanner hit my car we decided that we should turn our vacant 2 1/2 acre lot into our own little "Field of Dreams."  Of course it is not as elaborate yet, but since we never seem to be getting any closer to building our dream house we decided to use it for baseball.  The boys love it.  Saber fetches the balls for us and bring them back (a little slobbery) but it is worth not chasing them.  My dad would be so proud.  I really wish he was around.  He would have LOVED turning his grandsons into All Stars.
