Emilee and Michael's Wedding

Congratulations to our friend, Emilee, who got remarried yesterday and will be moving to Texas with her 4 year old twins. Emilee's husband passed away from cancer 1 1/2 years ago so we have been with her through a journey that I NEVER want to go through. She seems so happy and we hope she can find joy again.

Maiden Voyage of our NEW (used) Trailer to Mud Springs At Glade Park

Happy 24th of July!! Even though we live in Colorado and the 24th of July is not an official state holiday, Tyler decided a couple of years ago to declare Pioneer Day as an official "religious holiday." While we were in Utah last week we found a GREAT deal on a used travel trailer. Alright, I admit that I would have NEVER thought that I would be the owner of a trailer. I don't really love tent camping or backpacking and in fact my idea of camping was going on a few hikes, fishing with kids and coming back to a cozy cabin or hotel room. Since the cabin dream is way out of our budget for a long while, Tyler thought a trailer would be the best way to get me out in the wilderness with the family.

Although I was VERY reluctant, we had a FANTASTIC time. I am not good at relaxing, but I had no housework to do, no cell service, no texting, no Internet, and no Jolley Smiles stuff to do so I was forced to take it easy. We slept in, played games, talked, fished, and did nothing. It was refreshing. The boys definitely behave better swinging from their Indiana Jones lassos then they did last weekend at Nordstrom Rack. It's kind of like the dog--when you have ALL boys camping and a dog are inevitable. Keaton came out with us to take our maiden voyage and he was the perfect addition to our outing. On day 2 the ward showed up for a ward campout so there was lots of action and lots of people, but still very low key. I can't believe I am actually looking forward to our next trip. Ladies, the trailer complete with kitchen, bathroom, shower, and a king bed makes camping an entirely NEW and AWESOME experience.

Jolley Smiles 3rd Annual Patient Appreciation Day

This year we rented the bowling alley for our patients and one guest. They enjoyed pizza, salad, drinks, bowling, and a Jolley Smiles T-shirt contest. I was shocked at the creativity and design of these shirts. It was a success!

Malnar's Road Trip from Wisconsin to Colorado

So we had a GREAT time with my brother Ben and his family (Allison, Abigail, Eliza, and Jacob). They drove 24 hours straight (except the 2 hr nap in some motel parking lot). It was a HUGE sacrifice for them to come visit, but it was worth it for us--not sure if they thought so :). They LOVED Grand Junction and how fun it is. I took them trail running in the mornings, hiking with the kids in the National Monument, Toy Story 3, and swimming. It went by too quickly. Thanks for coming!

Utah Trip

We spent a few days in Utah while Tyler attended an orthodontic conference. We stayed at the hotel and went swimming, shopping, and to visit the family. One night there was a Hawaiin Party at the owner of Ultradent's house which was amazing. The kids got to ride horses, play in the giant tree house, run around the huge yard, and play volleyball. One afternoon Grandma Sam took all of to see Despicable Me (very cute by the way). Deedee and I took the kids swimming at Cherry Hills on Friday. It was super hot and very crowded, but they didn't seem to mind.

Future Family Pictures

Carson is always drawing pictures of his family and future "little sister." He draws them on paper, on paper plates, on the window sill, on the bathroom door, and on the kitchen cabinets. It melts my heart--at least the non-destructive and non sharpie marker versions. In one of the drawings Kaden is missing because he is "playing with a friend" and the other is full of "LOTS of baby sisters." The boys are so excited to find a baby sister. She is prayed for every morning and every night and at every meal. They also come home with random girl presents that they can give to their baby sister. Kaden dramatically exclaims at least once a day, "I just can't take it anymore. When are we going to get a baby sister. I don't think I can wait much longer." Man, I love those boys. They have so much faith and hope and anticipation for the new addition that will join our family someday.

We don't know when it will happen, but our chances have just increased dramatically now that we are officially approved and our profile is online.

Backpacking to Big Creek Reservoir

Tyler took Kaden, Tanner, and Saber backpacking to Big Creek Reservoir. They had a great time except for the Poison Oak that Kaden got all over his legs and arm. Tyler was relieved that his back didn't hurt on his first voyage since he hurt his back. They were having too much fun to take many pictures, but here are a few:

Blakeslee's and G&G Jolley come to GJ

Britain, Ben, Bristol, and Grandma and Grandpa Jolley came to visit us for a few days. The boys doted on Bristol and smothered her with love and affection. We celebrated Britain's Birthday at Red Robin (Richard's favorite place to eat when they come to visit). It was fun to see them, but Virginia is a little too far away. We wish they lived closer.

4th of July at Flaming Gorge

We had another great 4th of July at the cabin in Flaming Gorge with 9 other families Ross'+Ross'+Harmon's+Clifford's+Frigetto's+Heaps'+Vance's+Cook's+Jolley's+Ashley=47 people!! It was a blast and not as crazy as it sounds. Most families stayed in the cabin but we did have one pop-up, one trailer, and one 5th wheel on the lot. Some of the highlights of the weekend included: Trail runs, rafting the river, fishing, hiking, capture the flag, swimming and cliff jumping at Mustang Ridge, sliding down dirt hills, air soft wars, card games, playing ADVENTURES, and the annual fireworks at Dutch John. Here are a few pictures from our fun weekend.

Weekend in Vernal

We spent a weekend in Vernal with the Jolley's. Some of the highlights of the weekend included a treasure hunt, driving on a VERY bumpy road to see "Plymouth Rock" which Tyler's Grandpa Hall carved when he was a kid and herding sheep in the area. We also went to the temple and saw Damn Yankees at the Outlaw Trail Festival.
